With Home Technology and Security on One Platform, Foxwood Breaks New Ground in Apartment Living
Raleigh, NC, November 14, 2017 — Luxury Apartments at Foxwood is taking convenience and security to new levels in apartment living by integrating smart home technology and security on one easy-to-manage platform. Every unit in the North Raleigh complex provides residents with total control of their apartment with one app, including locks, lights, thermostat, off-site monitoring, security settings, motion sensors and more.
Now in pre-leasing, Foxwood will welcome its first residents in February. Property Manager, Kristin Thornburg said, “We allow for the lifestyle that residents are looking for – a cutting-edge, modern and warm-hearted place to call home”. Assistant Property Manager, Alana Herod said, “We extensively researched what our residents wanted, and security and convenience came up very big. They want their apartment to feel as secure as a home, and these services, provided at no extra charge, help deliver that.”
Although home technology and security products are readily available as separate items, combining them into one app is unique to Foxwood. Alarm.com, of Tysons, Virginia, developed the technology, and Gray Security Systems, of Raleigh, is installing the hardware in all 472 units.
EVERYTHING WORKS TOGETHER
Jeff Brady, President of Gray Security, said, “As the integrator on this project, we are putting in several different brands of products and using the Alarm.com software to ensure they all work together from your smart phone, iPad, tablet or monitor on the wall.”
Matt Zartman, Director of Communications for Alarm.com, added, “It is very cutting edge to put this platform into apartment buildings. Foxwood is way out in front of the market with this integrated smart home-security initiative.”
Among the many features of this technology is the ability of your smart phone to remotely lower or raise your apartment’s temperature. For example, when you’re at work or out shopping, your phone will automatically tell the thermostat to lower the temperature and save energy. When you’re heading home, your phone will tell the thermostat to warm things up without prompting from you.
Conveniently located near the popular Triangle Town Center, Foxwood is rich in amenities for the growing number of young professionals and senior citizens who are helping to make Raleigh one of the fastest growing cities in America.
“Luxury surroundings, exceptional service and unmatched convenience make Foxwood ideal for those hunting for a home that meets all their social and professional needs,” said Herod. “Residents can look forward to a tree-lined complex that will feel like country living while enjoying every advantage that technology can offer.”
Foxwood features 3, 2 or 1 bedroom units spread over 14 buildings with 50 garages and 24 covered parking stalls. Each unit includes a washer/dryer, gourmet kitchen, high ceilings and walk-in closets. Community features abound, such as a 24-hour fitness center, resort style pool, grilling station, outdoor fireplace, full business center and relaxing lounge area. A unique on-site concierge service includes dog walking, car detailing, a la carte housecleaning and numerous other timesaving options.
Luxury Apartments at Foxwood are designed by Cline Design Architects with site work by Charles Hassinger Consulting, construction by Hackett Builders and marketing by MarketingCycle, Inc. The complex is located at 6701 Fox Road in Raleigh.
